I can copy the visual either as image or data table and paste it in other applications.

March 2022 Update: We are looking into this

We recently released the ability to export data from tiles and visuals to a CSV file. This may work for y'all as a workaround until we add the ability to directly copy and paste the visual or data. You can read more about it here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/powerbi/archive/2016/01/06/power-bi-service-update-0106.aspx#exportTile. Be sure to let us know what you think about the feature!

The export-function is very unhandy for this, since it exports all underlying data. If you implement the copy-function, please adjust it so that it only copies the displayed values. Furthermore, in case of a table for example, the structure of the table should be copied as well - not simply all the underlying data.

By any chance is there an ETA for this?

I'm getting resistance from users due to this gap in the product. If they have to export the data in order to copy a Reference (i.e. job number / ticket id etc), they will then export all the data and filter it in Excel as they are used to doing, rather than drill through it and interact with it in Power BI to get to the data they want.

This is really a nice ID. Copy/paste feature could enhance the possibilities of PowerBi, being a program not only for reporting or showing information, but also a powerful tool for helping other teammates in daily work.

This is important but need to go together with better formatting options for charts. The charts now are not usable in reports as they can not be formatted well enough. Not only paste but paste link will be important.

Hello,

How do you export tile data to excel while in power bi desktop? This is extremely useful for debugging / problem solving during the authoring process. There is no tile menu that I can see in desktop...? Please let me know when you have a chance. Thanks!

Awesome! Great to see our feedback adopted, it's important that routine simple functions are available to those users who are transitioning to a more online, instant workflow with their reports
