The bookmark feature looks great. Would it be useful if there is added functionality which allows subscriptions to be on bookmarks for a report?

This functionality has shipped! See the blog post for more details: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/blog/subscribe-to-a-report-with-filters-applied/

RE: Subscriptions to Bookmarks

This is a major disadvantage in Power BI compared to Tableau and one of the most heard complaints in our move from Tableau to PBI.

RE: Subscriptions to Bookmarks

This is one of those feature requests that really makes you wonder about how Microsoft evaluates their product roadmap updates. This feature would be INCREDIBLY valuable and EASY for them to build. And it stays in sync with the existing metaphors and approaches they are already using.

It is incredibly limiting to be forced to save the report page defaults in a certain way just to ensure that subscribers see the data filtered as expected. It would enable few report pages to be created because in many cases the only reason we're building additional pages is because users want subscriptions where the only difference between subscriptions is a few filter settings.

I hope Microsoft pays attention and builds this simple and elegant feature.

RE: Subscriptions to Bookmarks

We need this function ASAP. It would be ideal for the business if we were able to have users bookmark their data (as default view) and then be able to schedule.

RE: Subscriptions to Bookmarks

Subscribing that only allows for the default report to be sent limits the potential of the feature. Since we normally develop reports for multiple users, they may only want to see data relevant to their specific scope rendering the subscriptions impractical.

This issue would be resolved with the implementation of the ability to subscribe to specific bookmarks in the report, rather than just the default view.

RE: Subscriptions to Bookmarks

This is still very much needed, I have to create individual reports if I want to subscribe to filtered data which is a pain!

RE: Subscriptions to Bookmarks

It seems like we're getting closer to subscribing with filters:

Export > PowerPoint > Embed live data

...creates a URL that includes the filter settings. --> Manual sharing of views is now possible.

If now that same URL generator was used with the Subscribe function, that would be it!

RE: Subscriptions to Bookmarks

This would be really handy. We have several sites at our company, and if I could specify filters and/or book-marks on a per-subscription basis, I could take care of everyone's needs with a single report without them having to filter.
