The ability to copy reports between different PowerBI workspaces is a fantastic feature in a bigger organization. It allows us to pull in data from different teams without having to take ownership of their initial dataset and refresh.
However, the issue is that copied report do not update / refresh automatically with the original report. This means that if I copy a report over, I need to manually copy it again everyday to capture any changes.
It would be hugely beneficial if copying a report allows for the automatic refresh or for it to copy again automatically each day.
Our use case for this feature is as follows:
We have a executive management dashboard on one workspace that needs data from reports in other workspace. We found the ability to copy the reports we need over and pin the visuals to our executive workspace. However, the underlying copied reports do not refresh with the originals. So any refresh or updated work done on the original is not captured. We need the ability to have the copied report refreshed and updated on a daily basis which in turn automatically updates the pinned visuals we use for our dashboard.
