Allow users to change the type of date slicer from a default setting to any one of the options (between, before, after, list, dropdown, relative). Currently, once the report is published, users can only change the date slicer from the published setting to a new setting by editing the report. The problem we are having is that we want live tiles to use the "Relative" setting, so the current month is displayed, but allow users to select a specific date range within the report.

RE: Allow Users to Change Date Slicer Type

This would be a really valuable addition to increase the possibilities of the users

It's been 3 years... how has this not made it past NEW idea?

RE: Allow Users to Change Date Slicer Type

How is this still an 'idea' and not a feature yet?

RE: Allow Users to Change Date Slicer Type

This would be great if the users could switch from relative to range type inputs. Right now I am doing this with bookmarks but a built in option would be preferable.

RE: Allow Users to Change Date Slicer Type

This would be very nice for end users to provide on other slicer types as well. e.g. change a slicer from dropdown to list, etc.

RE: Allow Users to Change Date Slicer Type

This is exactly what we need. This is functionality that is very basic. Allow the report to always point to the latest data, but also allow the user to explore the data that they want. This is currently cumbersome in Power BI.
