There should be an option to select a single date from a pop-up calendar in date slicer (similar to the 'Between' view), as it is simpler than scrolling through the 'List' view looking for a particular date (it also doesn't help that the Search function doesn't seem to be available for the 'Dropdown' view, or this might've been a suitable solution.. the pop up calendar would still be preferred though).

A serious look into this is needed more than ever now that the date picker on the standard slicer has been made so much worse - we now have to click the up and down arrow to select years, one click per year. I'm sure people really enjoy having to click 70 times if they have to pick, say DoBs

The date picker is fundamental to my current development plans especially for M query parameters. Using a list, tile or drop down makes the report look absurd and is difficult to navigate. I want to use Power BI but this limitation is definitely a blocker for adoption.

I'm currently trying to sell Power BI as a reporting solution in my company and am absolutely perplexed this doesn't exist as fundamentally offering.
Its making it hard to convince the business of the products potential when the basics are missing
Not sure I have seen a reporting offering without a single date calendar picker in the last 10 years

I spend more time telling people that deal with Invertors that the Power BI Developers refuse to add this expected and demanded functionality. (You don't tell Billionaires that the BEST tool on the market can NOT do this piss-ant functionality - Very lame and humiliating thing for a developer to convey.)
How is this NOT in the initial PBI offering?
I'd put money that some developer is also selling custom made controls.
IF so - This is akin to extortion.
We are currently considering leaving everything behind due to this ridiculous issue.
Please provide solution, immediately.

have to agree this is a basic requirement. simple date picker for a single date. very strange to have to work around it by hiding the fact that Power BI forces you to select a range.
