New Desktop app update installed an almost white user interface. There is zero contrast which is not good for the eyes. I see where some people have requested a light interface so incorporate an option to select either light or dark theme like in the Office apps.

This request is on our roadmap, but we don't have timelines to share yet. We'll update this idea when there are more details to share. Thank you!

I agree with most of the comments - this new colour scheme is really hard on the eyes.
Why would you make a change like this without the option to switch back or choose the preferred scheme like we can in Visual Studio Tools?

Please give us an option to choose which theme we prefer - i find this light theme garish and hurts my eyes after i have been using the dark theme for so long :(

Did you do a user test, before deciding to implement this UX?
Or you just thought it might be a good idea, based on shoulder tapping within enclosed team of few?
Give as at least a choice!!!

Finding it difficult to work using the light menus on the new version, please go back to dark or give an option to select light or dark menu theme. I don't want to revert to an earlier version because I'm already using some of the new features (which are excellent)

Why did you make this change without an option to toggle between the new and old modes? Awful, very hard on the eyes, everything is harder to read. What a step back in usability. Everything else I have runs in dark mode to reduce eye strain, please give us the option here.
