    Allow for point-in-time snapshots for reports/dataset

    datasets/reports only show latest data. Would like to be able to schedule each month to save a point-in-time snapshot of the report/dataset as it is at that time. Then I can show a client their report from this month, or last month, or one year ago. Not just the data as it is at the latest refresh

    This feature would be super useful and would help me get away from my R script. However this request would be encroaching on Azure territory so I doubt MS goes for it. Better start saving for an analytics cloud

    This is a Necessity and should be at the top of all analysts lists...it would be tremendously helpful without having to utilize R or another program to create snapshots. A built in auto daily snapshot of data (that can be scheduled) would be very helpful and very useful.

    We desperately need this, as otherwise we're either manually creating a snapshot by filtering and copying, or creating a mammoth amount of data by adding in each month. This is absolutely something that would make life easier when dealing with large amounts of data and wanting to see what happened 'then'

    Either give us this snapshot concept or fix the printing capabilities but we need one or the other or this application will just not work for a lot of people.

    Seems there are similar ideas to this that have been kicking around for sometime e.g. this one from 2016

    both say need more votes but should be combined in my opinion

    My boss will have me manually updating this in a spreadsheet every month until the end of time if we don't get this feature :)
