Currently when you are making Slicer Drop-Down selections you have to click back on the slicer box or click on an open area of the dashboard to make the slicer list close. It would be nice and a great time saver if the drop-down would close automatically once you make your selection unless you are holding down the ctrl button to make multiple selections.

I think this is meanwhile resolved resp. in a way it should be. If you define a slicer as single select drop down it automatically closes, when you select a new value. Only in case of multi select drop down the slicer is not automatically closing, but this is useful to my opinion, because you might want to pick other values as part of multi select. Only single select should close automatically and that is what is implemented.

Has this request been looked into? I still have to click outside of the dropdown in order for the drop down selections to disappear. An extra unnecessary click in my UX

Yes I have validated the same. In "single select" mode the drop down box auto closes after selecting a value from slicer. However this is not true for "Multi-select with CTRL"

FYI... once you publish the dashboard it works as we want (i.e. it closes the dropdown box once you've made a selection) this is true for "single select" mode, I haven't tested others

Yes, Auto close should be an option right alongside choosing multi/single select.
