When the data model includes many tables it might be useful to assign the role of fact or dimension to a table and highlight it with a color.
Two colors would suffice, one to indicate that it's a fact table and one to indicate that it's a dimension table.
It may also be useful to use a single color for fact tables and multiple colors for different dimensions if are structured in snowflake form.
