Hi Team,

Currently we have a schedule refresh option for dataset which allows us to auto refresh our dashboards and reports in workspace however if we have created a Power BI App on top of these multiple reports then it needs to updated manually on a daily basis in order to reflect changes for the end user. Could you please see if we can built a functionality to schedule auto update of App at multiple times just like we have for datasets.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Scheduled Refresh for Power Bi App

This is a great idea. When a scheduled refresh is done for a particular dataset, the actual visuals and data are not reset somehow in the Power BI App - not sure why that's the case but it doesn't work well. Individual reports are able to be viewed with the most up-to-date dataset refresh, but the App constantly needs to be "Updated" in order for the information to be carried through to the application reporting package. This is a barrier to the point of having the app, as the app should be constantly updated per the updated dataset. The "solution" most have provided is to hit the refresh button at the top right of the App page, but that never works. The dataset is never reset, and the old visuals remain. It would be great if we receive more upvotes on this one! If we can't update the App on an automatic refresh, then perhaps we should be able to create a Power Automate flow to refresh the app? That would also help!
