Option to not calculate/apply when changing a measure

The fact that I have to wait 10+seconds after every little change to a measure is drying me crazy, and making it impossible to recoup all of the development time taken to build a model.

for example, Type the measure, press enter - wait - for all the visuals to refresh even though I'm just creating a new measure,

then change that measure's format to Currency - wait for all the visuals to refresh

then change that measure to 0 decimal places - wait for all the visuals to refresh.

that is 30 extra seconds it takes to create one measure - when I have 100 measures to create that adds up.

Can we have a tick on option to not validate/calculate when creating/changing a measure?
