The idea is to add M code optimizer button which can duplicate your query but will group data type change steps into one single step (where it is possible). The same can be applied for renaming, replacing etc.
For instance, If you add many data type change steps and after you implement sorting then add one more data type change step. In most of cases the best case to have one data type change step.
