The default functions for metrics in the value fields on the visualization page is currently supported for sum, average, max min etc. but other standard functions like running total, percent of total etc. are still missing. Compared with other software and eg. Excel this is a set back as end users won't be able to quickly implement these kind of functions if they dont know DAX.

Not sure about this - the issue would be what functions should be there. Creating a running total is easier in DAX than it is in Excel...
