A possible workaround, if you have a sql server, would be to add db2 as a linked server. Then create a sql server database. Then create views to query the db2 tables. A caveat is performance. The linked server queries are slow.

Is this planned for the near future. our company decision will be influenced by the lack of this option in DB2

We have several of our joint customers asking for Power BI DirectQuery support on Db2. Can you give me a timeframe when we can expect this support? thanks, Gary

More and more users ask for Db2 direct query access. Is there a roadmap when the option will be available?

Without this, PowerBI is immediately eliminated from the running for my large deployment. Too bad.

This would ne a great feature for DB2 users! In the meantime would be highly appreciated to increase the number of possible scheduled refresh now limited just to 8 per day.

Not sure why you are limiting DB types with Direct Query.
