The ‘Full Screen mode’ could become more useful for presenting reports on dedicated large screens if it became just a bit more dynamic. Whilst it is currently possible to scroll through report sheets by clicking the arrows in the bottom right corner, it would be most valuable to be able to automate such browsing. A solution could be to introduce a “Play” button that starts a slideshow scrolling through the available report sheets according to a customizable time interval.

This is now available in the Windows Power BI app! Check out the details here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/enhancing-presentation-mode-with-slideshow-in-windows-power-bi-app/

RE: Slideshow in Full Screen/TV mode

'@swapnil: Sure. Here's what we did:
1. Installed the Super Auto Refresh Chrome extension.
2. Add chromeless option to the URL of your report. Ex: https://app.powerbi.com/groups//reports/?chromeless=1
3. Open Chrome and paste your URL
4. Enable the Super Auto Refresh extension
5. Press F11

To auto-refresh the underlying data, you can either use the RestAPI for PowerBI service, or set up scheduled refresh in app.powerbi.com (pick your dataset, choose settings>scheduled refresh)

'@Greg: Could you share your architecture to enable auto refresh

RE: Slideshow in Full Screen/TV mode

Will this also include an option to auto-refresh? We have Power BI reports displayed on bigscreen wall monitors and we're using Google Chome auto-refresh extensions + RestAPI calls to Power BI to keep the reports current. This was our best option early last year to maintain the look and feel of the report (which gets lost if we use dashboards).

RE: Slideshow in Full Screen/TV mode

We'd like this to be as simple to manage and as 'out of the box' as possible to make administration simple. A windows store app isn't a good approach as lots of enterprise admins are still on the fence when it comes to managing these.

Easiest thing to manage on a large scale would be a kiosk mode PC set to open Edge with a url. Append something to the URL to enable TV mode and it should just rotate through each page of a report (full screen) and refresh the report every few minutes. Could still allow interaction if a user has a fancy touch-screen display and resume cycling through pages after a few minutes of inactivity.

RE: Slideshow in Full Screen/TV mode

PowerBI should afford us all the presentation features available in PowerPoint... transitions, slide timing, animation, forward/back. Duplicate PPPT and then you have something.

Meanwhile, the store has a lame "Dashboard Rotator" that will give you about 1% of the functionality

RE: Slideshow in Full Screen/TV mode

I'd like to automatically scroll thru a series of bookmarks, not just the report tabs.
