On Embedded Power BI support Enterprise Gateway connection and also support Oracle/HANA and other on-prem databases. This is must for faster customer adoption.

As of June 2017, The Power BI service and Power BI Embedded came together to offer a single API for embedding your dashboards and reports. This means you now have one API surface, a consistent set of capabilities and access to the latest Power BI features – such as dashboards, gateways and app workspaces – when embedding your content. You can read more about it here- https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-developer-embedding/ For those who work with the Power BI Embedded Workspace Collection solution, we built a migration tool for easier data transition. See more info here- https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-developer-migrate-tool/

Greatly needed for us to adopt Power BI as a viable reporting visualization tool

'+3. Especially for support for other sources in direct query (i.e Snowflake in my case)

Any update about this? I have a customer that really need to use Power BI embedded to expand capabilities but all of its data is on premise and already working with some users in Power BI Service...

This is a massive issue. Please make this feature available as soon as possible.

Hi Charles, could the team please look at this related issue? Nothing has happened on the matter for some time and nobody has actually action-ed any "Gateways" ideas at this time.

Power BI is one of the best tools in the world but it lacks the above tiny feature which stops it from being used by most organisations

Agreeing with all the people here: this is a must have.

RE: Support other data sources Direct Query using Gateway on Embedded Power BI

Would very much like to (a) use an "Import"-type PBIX file with PBI Embedded and have a scheduled refresh using a gateway, and/or (b) use a "Direct Query"-type PBIX file with PBI Embedded that can query my on-premise data sources.
