I think you should be able to type whatever you want into the X and Y axis to make up the title for them.
This seems like a simple feature and works really well in Excel.

When I have multiple fields in a chart the axis is long and ugly, where a simple edit should be available to shorten this down.

Need to enable this. It would really be very useful. Sometimes we want to squeeze the size of chart but unable to reduce the font size on axis example SankeyBarChart from custom visual.

It's annoying that you have to change the source data in order to change the axis title.

Lack of this feature swayed our company to not use PowerBi and use a competitor product instead, please do add this asap and we may consider again in the future.

Completely agree with this. P BI charts definitely need to start offering at least the same amount of customization as excel.

This is marked as completed but I do not see an option under the X, Y axis to edit the axis title. I only see a toggle to show/hide the title. Can someone confirm if this is indeed available?

Looking forward to able edit Axis value format.
Current version of PowerBI do not support shows "Mmm - YY" format in the x-axis which is missed from Excel

yes we need to get this feature added. at the moment we need to just have a floating text box to enable us to manually change the labels.

Format & edit axis title as well. These are not options in Power BI, but it would be useful.

Another update and this is still, unfortunately missing. This is a necessary change, the current method of using the variable names is completely inappropriate - axis labels should indicate units of measure, not the name of what is being measured - that is what the title and legend are for.

More customization please!! It would be great to be able to display both the percentage and count on the same visual. For example, 75% (115 units). Also adjusting the size of the text is necessary, we just can't see the labels on large TV's we're using to showcase our visuals!
