The 'See Records' feature is a great feature but is not complete. It needs to be able to
1. Be used with all types of visuals (charts, tables, matrix, custom visuals)
2. Compatible with Calculated measures
3. Allow for feature to be turned on or off for each individual visual

RE: See Records feature improvements
As pointed out in a post on the community forum, you can exploit this flaw to see the names of individuals in an otherwise anonymous chart. There's even an example *promoted by Microsoft's own BI blog* showing charity beneficiaries on the chart 'number of projects by area', here:

This needs a fix!
RE: See Records feature improvements
Number three would be particularly valuable. I work in a public agency with highly sensitive data - not being able to turn it off really limits how widely I can share.
RE: See Records feature improvements
Being able to edit the columns and have those edits stick is important. Myself and our users can edit what columns they see but there is no way to control the columns that show up from the start.
This is a must have.
RE: See Records feature improvements
In addition to the three points - I force a graph to show all months on x axis even when half way through a year even though there is no data in later months by using the "show items with no data" (I have a linked table with months). However, by doing this the "See Records" function fails as we get a error message saying "We cannot display the detailed records table for this data source without a unique key". Please amend this so records can be shown for those months / axis point that are there.
RE: See Records feature improvements
Please bring this in next update. At lease #2.
RE: See Records feature improvements
#3 would be super-important! It (ie. turning off See Records) would highly improve usablity of PBI in vizualising sensitive data, like survey data where each row represents answers of single individual.
The "data validation" - argument on nescessity of See records -function is inadequate. The one who creates PBI-report needs to be aware of the level of data validity and act accordingly. In See records -function does not actually ensure the data validity for end user at any level. The data can be false despite of the row level visibilty.
RE: See Records feature improvements
same problem - can't share a report because of the sensitive data on which the report is based on
RE: See Records feature improvements
Just ran into this issue. I'm trying to share a public report, but now I can't because confidential information is accessible just by clicking on "see records"
RE: See Records feature improvements
Most users do not want to share the underlying data. users should have an easy way to turn off the feature 'See Records'
RE: See Records feature improvements
Definitely required to enable users to understand basis of calculated measures.
