    SSL option on Impala Connector

    We cannot use the native Impala connector in our enterprise because our Hadoop environment requires SSL to connect, and there is no option for that in the Native connector. This forces us to use ODBC, which is cumbersome for business users.

    Adding a checkbox to enable SSL in the native Impala connector would let us use it

    The Impala connector should automatically connect via SSL. If the SSL connection fails, the user will receive a prompt asking whether they wish to continue with an unencrypted connection.

    How are you validating that a non-SSL connection is taking place?
