There is currently an option to add a Power BI report as a tab in Teams. This is however a limited feature.

* Adding a Power BI App is not possible. With apps promoted by Power BI team as a recommended way to share content in an organization it does not make sense that the main collaboration tool (Teams) is not able to relate to them.

* Adding a report as a website does not work (any more). This used to be the workaround for my organization to make apps available as a teams tab. Now, clicking on the tab, the users will only get an endless login loop. Feedback from MS is 'Unfortunately it is not supported to add Power BI as Website tab in Teams'. (All other O365 features works as Website tab, though: Outlook, Onedrive, etc)

* Teams' context is not available to the Power BI report. We have a report that is filtered depending on which channel it is in. This used to be possible by having the report as a website tab in Teams, and encoding the context as part of the URL. Example: "https://...6fc76b2/ReportSection?chromeless=true&filter=Services/Service eq 'U18' "
Changing U18 to something else would filter the report down accordingly

Improvements to Power BI Tab in Teams are in progress. Two capabilities have already been delivered:
1. Announcing: Action bar for interactive reports in the Power BI tab for Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power BI
2. Announcing – Embed your Power BI organizational apps in Microsoft Teams Channels and Meetings | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power BI

Additionally, there are additional enhancements planned to make it easier to configure tab content for permissions and for default filters.

RE: Improve Teams tab embedding for Power BI

This is really needed. Teams is great, but right now so many of the products that can be added (just talking Microsoft here) have very fractured feature sets, making it actually worse to use teams over just directly using the app.
