We use Dynamics CRM and have designed some Power BI dashboards using the connector available.
When we checked this connector uses import mode and not live connect/Direct Query. We would like to have dashboards that get live data each time instead of having to schedule the dataset to refresh every 30 mins

Thank you for your suggestion. You can use the Dataverse connector for direct query. Use DirectQuery in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
