We are moving ahead with a deployment of Power BI Pro in a multi-tenant government consortium that is heavily dependent on tabular (paginated) reports. This is one of our first enterprise deployments of a cloud app and it was a struggle to get here due to culture and fear of data vulnerability in the cloud. As such, we could only get this project off the ground with Power BI Pro licensing, not Premium. This limitation may be a showstopper.

Paginated reports would be a game changer for our organization, we don't have nearly enough PowerBI adoption to move from Pro --> Premium, this would help with momentum.

I unfortunately was not included in the survey, so I'll chime in here. As others have said, this seems to be a very important feature to go hand-in-hand with dashboards, and can provide a very important bridge between Excel and PowerBI. A lot of hesitation (in my experience) around implementation of PowerbI licensing has to do with lack of clear paginated report support at the Pro level, as Premium is out of reach. With this feature at a Pro level, adoption of this product would be a much easier sell, without having to review yet another service, like SSRS.

We are trying to implement a top down approach where our Executives are able to ask questions about a Dashboard and the supervisors on our manufacturing floor have the data that has the connecting information (categorizations) to answer the questions. We have a simple dashboard that show the number of orders by month and the dollar amounts in that month. It is wide enough that the screen shot gets cut off. I don't understand why that would be considered a good implementation of this feature. Having a paginated report would seem like a basic requirement. Thank you.

paginated report is print friendly for many users, especially for financial statement.
People are still used to check financial statement in Excel or full PDF statement. The dashboard is good for daily interaction, but for monthly meeting, and board report, paginated report is very useful to present the information in a formal way
