Up to now, when a Excel file with some measures or calcualtions is imported, these "variables" are not imported too. This force you to create them again in PowerBI Desktop interface.
This interface is less "user-friendly" than Excel-Power/Pivot one.
And besides, what about those files you had modelled in excel for combining with PowerView and you cannot connect easily with PowerBI Desktop?. having to create all calcs from scratch.
