Dataflows - stop invalid path of data sources from showing in dataflow setting

During the dataflow creation in PBI, when customer enters any wrong path on PQ authoring screen it throws error but getting saved in the backend though they are correcting the path and able to create the dataflow later. This is causing refresh failures due to invalid credential errors of wrong path in dataflow settings. Also, it appears to be happening for multiple connectors. 

Though recreate dataflow with a correct path can avoid the issue, but it brings out extra inconvenience.
