To enable a button on each column header of a table visual that opens a dialog window that allows the user to set column based filtering

I used TIBICO Spotfire for a long time, and this is a basic function that I miss in Power BI

It's the most urgent need in power BI. Namely to have a filter based on columns in a table. This filter can be basic or advanced, like you have in Excel or in the data View.

It is a lot better to have the filters on each column heading within a table just like in excel.

Yes, this seems like the most obvious and intuitive way to filter a table. By having a drop down like in Excel or like in the Power BI Data view.
