As a visualization developer, it would be easier if there was a way to standardize the visual properties for both in-built and imported visual types, in terms of their data and formatting properties. These properties can be standardized in a structured way depending on the category of visual like Change Over Time, Comparison, Correlation, Distribution, Filter etc.
This will provide an integrated report\dashboard visual development experience, even for the imported visuals.
