Matrix currently doesn't allow you to sort the columns based on designating values as being a priority above the column field names.
For example, my field in the columns section results in three columns. If you add two sets of values, you are forced to see: Column 1, Value 1, Value 2, Column 2, Value 1, Value 2, etc. Like in a Pivot Table, you should be able to prioritize values so that it shows as: Column 1, Column 2, Column 3, Value 1, Column 1, Column 2, Column 3, Value 2.

Please add this feature! Not being able to sort significantly limits my capacity to present information in a meaningful way. In some cases, it makes Power BI useless and I have to rely on Excel or another program.

A recent user of Power BI ( previously extensive PowerPivot user) and could not believe that this basic functionality was not there. Please add it soon.

This idea would make the calculation groups even more useful. Calculation groups could then be used to let the user control which measurs/calculation items to show in matrix visual-columns (through a slicer). However, as long as the user cannot choose which of the measures/calculation items to sort the table by, unfortunately the value in many cases becomes quite limited.

Such a basic feature not supported?? It is supported in Excel PivotTable. Also, this idea is 3 years old; surprised to see it hasn't got thousands of votes !
