Cross Highlighting on Map visual

It's great that users can say click on a bar chart and have that filter the native Map visual. But there doesn't appear to be an option for cross highlighting in the native map visual.

It would be real handy if a user could click on a bar series, and see the related map visually stand out, while *also* being able to see other points in the map for context.

I would want an option to set the non-highlighted series to some level of transparency, as well as the ability to set them to the same color (e.g. some light shade of grey) to better call out the highlighted series.

This is seach an important feature: any solution to highlight the selected place instead of filtering it?
