When using a dataset via Power BI Service it's not possible to adjust the parameters. This makes it hard to design light weighted reports, that also should be flexible.
It would be great if it would be possible to change/update parameters when creating the "thin" report. Or atleast add some data for creating the measures.
Otherwise, you have to either always go back to the original dataset to do modifications, or duplicate all data and not use the Power BI service
