Increase the data export row limit (30,000 rows max) in Power BI Report Server

The capability to export raw data from Power BI is an important function for many users.

Presently, the export data limits are as follows and confirmed at the community link below.

- Power BI Service (cloud platform): 150,000 row maximum
- Power BI Report Server (on-premise platform): 30,000 row maximum

Please increase the export limit setting on Report Server to match that of Service. Better yet, increase them both to a much higher limit as requested by others in separate idea posts.

Thanks for your feedback - we are including the ability to Export to Excel from visuals with the Jan 2020 release, and this will up the export limit to the same levels as the PBI Service (150k rows).

Hey Chris, can you provide an update since you mentioned in July 18 that it would be in an upcoming release. We're tuned, wired and set on this channel. What is the word on the street?

Hi Chris, Any update on lifting the 30k limitation on Power BI Report Server. Earliest reply is of great help for us to decide on Power BI or Tableau.

We are excited about what Microsoft is doing in the space of data visualization but it would be very beneficial to our customers to increase the export limitation to 150,000 rows. Can you please update us on the status of this item. How many votes do we need?

One more bump on this, first posted in January, Chris commented mid-year, it's now December...lifting these kids of limits really should be a priority.
