Be able to copy or move reports and dashboards between Group Workspaces, removing the need to re-publish a report and/or rebuild a dashboard.

Beyond the manual effort of moving reports between workspaces, any personal bookmarks, subscriptions, shared links should hold when the report moves to the new workspace. Even if you are able to download and re-publish to a new workspace, the end user experience for the consumers of that report is terrible with those settings now carrying over.

We're creating a new PowerBI deployment from scratch and not being able to move dashboards in these early phases means we can't use them, for fear of having to do all the work again from scratch just because it was in the wrong workspace :(

In addition to the 'Save a copy' option now available on the Reports screen within a Workspace (thanks @DBA for pointing this out, we hadn't noticed it) ... users should be prompted to select which workspace they want to save to when doing 'Save as...' from within a report, defaulting to the current workspace but allowing them to choose personal or other group workspaces

It looks like Microsoft finally added this feature, but access is not given to the original dataset. I opened a new "idea" here to address this: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/38253394-copying-reports-should-provide-access-to-dataset

RE: Ability to move/copy report/dashboards between Group Workspaces

My organization employs a very strict change control and approval process for ALL production changes, and a feature like this would be extremely beneficial to us.

With this, we would be able to have separate workspaces for each environment (Dev / UAT / Prod), and through the REST API we could automate the process of promoting reports through the environments and approving releases. Without this, we have no way of doing this without resorting to very manual re-publishing of reports in PBI Desktop.

Please, Microsoft, consider this feature in the short term. We love the feature set of Power BI, and we love its Embedded Analytics capabilities, but the PBI Service is lacking in features that would allow organizations to share reports in a managed and governed way.
