I have come across so many public data repositories that hold data in PDF format. Other websites have tables within documents such as annual reports etc., also in PDF format. A data source for PDFs or tables from PDFs would be awesome!

The PDF connector is now generally available in the April release of Power BI Desktop. Learn more here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-april-2019-feature-summary/#pdf

RE: Tables in PDF files
I'm moderating a webinar next month on scrubbing data and importing data to Excel. An MVP is the speaker. It would be so cool if he could announce to the audience of actuaries that Excel can digest numbers from PDFs.
Financial statements in PDF format are a pain to attempt analysis.
RE: Tables in PDF files
It would be nice to have this feature in Excel. The current PDF converter tool to export a PDF to Excel is lacking in functionality. A majority of the time the conversion to Excel is very difficult to work with.
RE: Tables in PDF files
I would find the ability to get data out of PDFs and into Excel very useful and probably use it often.
RE: Tables in PDF files
Would be very helpful
RE: Tables in PDF files
I agree. Either typing if file is small enough or finding another way is hardand subject to human error.
RE: Tables in PDF files
This would be a 'huge' feature
RE: Tables in PDF files
HUGE! Need native support on this.... Adobe Pro can do it, but needs to be a function in Excel!
RE: Tables in PDF files
this would be an excellent feature. hope it becomes a reality in the near future.
RE: Tables in PDF files
Absolutely need this functionality.
RE: Tables in PDF files
Yes, converting PDFs to Excel would be great!
