Is it possible to add the functionality of displaying labels (value, location,etc) on the Shape Map visual (in preview as of June 2016)?
The visual does currently display a tooltip for the location.

This is extremely important. I'm having to use a custom R mapping script to generate a map (lot of work) since the built-in mappings is not capable of displaying a value indicating what the visual is measuring. Tooltip is not enough as most of my users do not work with the interactive version (PPT only)

It is difficult to relate the shapes to the display without being able to display some name for the shape.

This is really needed. As of right now I have to export the raw data to a PowerPoint map to show the data and then send to people via email. Tool tips are great, unless those that need to see all of the info at once and compare.

Look at the sort of visuals we could create if we could include labels/data!
We've got the hex map drawn and can see stuff on hover but it doesn't draw you in...

incredible that this doesn't exist yet, at some point it would be great if PowerBI added a map that could actually be used in a business setting
