Connecting to Excel workbooks in OneDrive is a great first step, but connectivity to Google Sheets should be there too.

The Google Analytics source does not provide the full range of metrics required for advertisers reporting on AdWords performance.
Competitive Metrics (e.g. Impression share, IS Lost to Rank & Budget)
Conversion Metrics on other attribution models
Social Metrics
Change History
and more...
The need for this is huge.

'#1 : I have tried various unseccessful attempts to import tables from google sheet, which is created on our organizational/corporate gmail account. (ie it does not work with myname@companyname.com - this is hosted by google). I ma reciving following error message "this datatype is not supported"
#2 : However it works only with personal gmail/google sheet. It works only with myname@gmail.com - which is hosted by google
Following is blank query method, it was succesful with #2 but not with #1
= Excel.Workbook(Web.Contents("https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/GoogleSeetId_Hidden_kKtM0gxx/export?output=xlsx"), null, true)
Please provide solution for this. I need solution to use #1 to build reports using power BI.

Isn't this already possible? Like this is how it should work:
1. Enable Google Drive for Desktop (with hot sync)
2. Update Excel worksheet on desktop (so it automatically gets updated on Google Drive)
3. Connect Google Drive copy of Excel file to Power BI Pro (using web as data source)
4. Use Power BI Service to fetch data manually (and it already does refresh data hourly)
Did I miss something?

Most of my organization is in the Google Environment. Being able to Connect PowerBI direct to Google Sheets would be a huge help. Using the connect web service often encounters problems, or after 30 days need to reconnect the data source. PowerBI is so much more powerful than Google Data Studio and it would be helpful to be able to have this connection.

This is really an important feature desired by so many users. Why are we still not having this after nearly 4 years of requests? Microsoft, please listen to your constituency and customer base.

I have managed to get good response by using following blank query. = Excel.Workbook(Web.Contents("https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/hiddenhiddenhidden3fGh4m6kd2N_hidden0/export?output=csv"), null, true)
However it works only with personal google sheet, and not organisational google account such as xyx@yourname.com (which is hosted by google)
I am having following problems, in-spite of above workaround to get Google sheet in Power BI.
1. It pops up various error messages, and stops refreshes from google sheet.
2. It sometimes adds "null"/blank rows, above data, pushing actual data to the bottom of table.
3 Considering #1 & #2, whole scenario becomes very unreliable to deploy reporting mechanism in our organisation.
Would be glad if MS provides an easy solution to overcome all such problems.

Google Analytics API provides filtering options for data range, segment and filters.
Develop the Data Source connector so that users can also set these conditions in Power BI.
