I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.
This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

Unacceptable that this is not even in the roadmap! I understand trying to push towards analysis in power bi but Microsoft you must understand as long as excel exists users will want reports in excel. Also analyze in excel does not always work for every use case!
Please reconsider for 2020!

Please fix this... I have drill-through on my matrix, and I want the data exported to match the current level of drill-through... instead of just defaulting too the most drilled in level.
Please make the data export match what is displayed on the visual !!!

not having this requirement is a huge setback for some team in my company, they need to download into excel for some reason and you guys invent excel long before pbi... :P

This is my number 1 requested feature and should have a timetable! Although all these new visuals are great and exciting, the vast majoirty of reports will include a matrix / table, so this should be a high priority item!

Qlik had this back in 2014 on like Qlikview version 11... I want to like PowerBI, it has much potential, but the fact that it is missing this feature is crazy. Most my users are in finance (Excel addicts) and this is a huge turn off for adoption.

I join the chorus of so many voices requesting export of matrix data and more generally better integration with other office suite. Power Bi is a very powerful tool for analyzing data but we need also to be able to use and share such results. A stand alone tool simply becomes a toy to show beautiful colored charts. If you don't implement extensive export functionalities I will soon move to other BI tools, regretting have spent so much time in learning PBI.

Essential and extremely useful, just like the download Crosstab/matrix report in same format.

Rightly said in the previous comments that the lack of this feature is a hindrance in the efforts to drive PBI adoption in the company. I am facing the same issue. We definitely need a feature to download the matrix format data as is to show in excel. This is a very basic feature very much in demand and I am waiting to see a timeline for it's inclusion in PBI.
