  1. export to PowerPoint via the power BI desktop only

    I work in a big insurance company and due to security reasons, we can't upload anything to the cloud / the power BI web services.
    However, we love and use the Power Bi desktop to create beautiful internal reports. but we need to share them internally with slides.
    we need a way to export reports directly from the power BI desktop to PowerPoint (without publishing the report to the web)

    This is a must have feature for all the analysts in my team and will love to have your support on that.

    • Print (or) Save as Pdf option for each individual report and Save whole report as PDF

      We can save the whole report as Pdf for the data displayed in tables with conditional formatting.

      • Oauth2 Support for Dynamics IFD API

        When deploying a PowerBI solution to the PowerBI service that has WebAPI queries against an IFD enabled Dynamics 2016 On Premise org OAuth2 is not an authentication option. So you cannot schedule refreshes of this data.

        Same solution pointing at a Online Dynamics 365 org does support scheduling via OAuth2 to allow refreshing of data.

        • Display a legend on more than one row

          It would be great if there was an option to display a legend on more than one row to avoid legend names being cut short. For example having 2 names on the top line and then 2 directly below.

          • Schema Compare + Synchronize from and to Power BI Desktop and SSAS Tabular

            It would be very useful if you could compare and synchronize between a Power BI Desktop file and another Power BI Desktop file or SSAS Tabular model. The open source tool BISM Normalizer can already do this between SSAS Tabulars.

            The following objects should be included: tables (+calculated columns), relationships, measures and Power Queries.

            Possible specfic scenario's:
            - Easily sync selected measures from a Power BI Desktop to a SSAS Tabular project.
            - Create a Power BI "template" based on a corporate SSAS Tabular model, so non technical users could extend the model with their own new data sources.

            • Don't automatically add new tiles to dashboard

              When I use Get Data to upload a report to the Power BI Service, it automatically pins a tile to a dashboard. I believe it pins to the dashboard I was most recently on, but this isn't always the case. This automatic pinning is confusing, and I end up with lots of reports pinned to dashboards that are totally unrelated. This creates lots of manual work hunting down and cleaning up these tiles. It also create numerous dependencies for content packs, as a dashboard pulls in all reports with pinned tiles - if tiles are automatically pinned, it starts to…

              • ODC equivalent for Power BI Desktop

                Office data connection (odc) files allow end users to quickly and easily launch , create a pivot table connected directly to a specified data source. I propose a Power BI data connection (PDC) file that had similar behavior. This would allow easy publishing access to data sources in enterprises so end users that wish to author custom reports against data sources don't need to jump through multiple steps to access data source. The PDC file would launch desktop tool and connect directly to configured data source in one step.

                • Adjust grid size

                  Add the ability to control the size of the grid in Power BI.

                  It's great to have snap-to-grid functionality and gridlines in Power BI Desktop. However, I haven't used this feature much because the standard grid size is not useful for my particular reports. I need the ability to change the size of the grid to make it more/less dense depending on my scenario.

                    Say we have a barchart that display the sales percentages for 10 different products in the current month.

                    We also have a linechart that displays the total average sales percentage per month, for both the current and last year.

                    When you allow the barchart to interact with the linecharts, currently both the product AND the month are set as filters on the linechart.

                    • When we add Custom Column, allow us to choose its position

                      When we add a new column in the Query Editor, it always places the column at the end. This makes it difficult to visualy relate the new column with the other columns that were used in the calculation, and make if difficult to debug our custom column code. The workaround to use ordering after we add the column, is not user friendly if we have dozens of columns.

                      It would be helpful, if we can choose the location of the column from the UI (with a default), and that you add a fourth optional parameter in Table.AddColumn for the column…

                        I would like to be able to choose whether or not i want to see subtotals in a table or matrix, to be able to turn them on or off. I know you can do this with totals under general but sometimes i want the grand total but not subtotals.

                        • Disable share buttons

                          Option to disable the share buttons (Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook and share itself) in the embed code. I am using the embed code to post the report in a sharepoint page with in the company by this would prevent a public sharing.

                            • Conditional Formatting - Whole Table Rows

                              It would be great to be able to format full rows and not just specific columns in tables.

                              For example - I have a list of date driven tasks and would like to highlight the entire row where the task is overdue.

                                Build a macro recorder similar to Excel in the powerbi desktop. If could run through selections and paste out graphs. This would save time on custom selections every month.

                                    Managing roles should also be on pages level, not only on tables level. admin should be able to control pages that different users can see based on their assigned roles.

                                      I would like the ability to rename the label of my tool tip. I am showing In Stock at a DC over time for a customer that only keeps certain products in the DC. I would like to include a count of the number of items in the DC as a tool tip so that my users can see something like "Number of Items in DC," rather than "Count ItemNum"

                                        When importing data from non-formatted Excel worksheets (not from tables or defined names) Power Query uses an UsedRange property of worksheet (as described there https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/9d38f271-2cc6-4170-9a48-1e4f45f6f125/missed-column-from-xlsx-worksheet-on-import?forum=powerquery and there http://excel-inside.pro/blog/2017/05/23/excel-sheet-as-a-source-to-power-query-and-power-bi-a-pitfall-of-usedrange/). This behavior cause problems when there are first empty rows and/or columns on the sheet, which may or may not be imported depending on formats. It creates problems when working with a lot of files in folders.

                                        As Power Query dont work with formats, there is no reason to rely on UsedRange.

                                          I have a report that requires more than one page in the mobile view. The problem is both pages should reflect the same filters. I do not expect users to select the same filters again and again; the filters should be selected on the first page and apply to all subsequent pages.

                                          This idea was previously posted under the heading "Make filters that can apply across all pages in a report". However, it will not longer accept votes as it is marked as completed. Is an option available to apply page level filters from the report/dashboard to subsequent pages?
