  1. Allow creation of measures inside folders

    In the March 2019 version of PBI Desktop, you can organise columns and measures inside folders using the Model tab. When you create a new measure in the Report tab, by default it is placed alphabetically within a table.

    I suggest that a user can click onto a folder in that table, and create the measure within that folder.

  2. To make two visuals scroll in SYNC based on common shared axis.

    I have two visualisations on a page, both of which have a date x-axis. I want to be able to scroll one of them and have the other scroll in the same way automatically, so the scroll bars are like they are locked together. Is there any way to do this?

  3. +/- icons funtionality on column headers

    Has at columns the same functionality +/- icons as we have at row headers. For example:
    Matrix table where columns are year/month, I want to be able to press +/- and collapse month and see only a year.
    SImilar functionality such as Excel, where you are able to Group columns.

  5. Change label of Total row in Table or Matrix

    On the bottom of a table or matrix, the Total row is labeled as "Total". I need to be able to change that text to something else. For example, if the table rows are labeled as "Americas" and "International", I want the total row to be labeled as "Global".

  6. Relative Date filter week Mon-Sun

    the Relative Date filter options for the calendar week goes from sunday through saterday.

    Most companies I know, go from Monday through Sunday. Please give us the option to choose in the filter, or set it though the localization.

  7. Add "Quarters" to relative date filtering.

    I use relative date filtering frequently. Our organization frequently looks at data Quarter-over-Quarter. It would be great to be able to use Quarters in addition to days, weeks, months, years.

  8. Filter Pane Text Size

    Hi,

    In the April 2019 Feature Summary, it states "To maintain proportion between the report page and the filter pane, the new filter pane will now scale with the report page and visuals."

    That's good, but the report pages/visuals are adjustable, while it appears that the Filter Text size is not adjustable. The width of the filter pane can be adjusted, but the size of the text does not update with it.

    Please consider the width of the Filter Pane and adjust the size of the filter text accordingly.

  9. Make Desktop available through Microsoft Update (for versions of Windows before Windows 10)

    In September 2017 we announced that Power BI Desktop is available through the Windows Store, giving automatic updates: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-at-ignite-2017-announcing-enterprise-ready-capabilities-for-establishing-data-culture-at-scale/

    If you're not able to update to Windows 10, vote for this idea so that Power BI Desktop can be made available through Microsoft Update to older versions of Windows.

  11. "Apply slicers to all pages of a report" needs to include custom visuals

    In the "Allows Slicers to apply to all Pages of a Report" request, Microsoft resolved the issue only for built in slicers. Need this functionality to work for ALL slicers, both built in and custom.

  12. date filter

    New Filter Experience - Advanced Filtering on a Date only column includes a time bound. If the column is date only, it should only have the date portion in the filter experience.

  14. Arrange order of filters in new filter Pane with default being alphabetical

    The new Filter Pane experience is wonderful but what I think is pivotal but missing is being able to custom arrange the order of the filters instead of having the ONLY order being alphabetical. If authors were to add 20-30 + filters in the pane with the most essential ones having their names start from - X, Y, Z then the users are forced to scroll all the way down instead of having these critical/mostly used filters on the top instead.

  15. Option to remove K when showing data as thousand

    It would be useful to have the option to show/hide the "K" when showing data in thousands. The same applies for million, billions etc as well.

    If you have report with all the data in thousands it is only messy to see the K behind every figure. Instead you can create a textbox showing that all data is in thousands.

  16. highlight applied filter

    With multiple slicers on a report page it is currently not possible to quickly see which slicers have a value selected.

    It would be great to have the ability to change the color of the slicer background or the background color of the slicer items. (Default state, Selected state)

    This would help the consumer of the report to very quickly see which filters have been applied and which still can be applied.

  17. Force the Tachometer to disapear when the data set is Blank

    Hi,

    I would like to find a neat way to remove my Tachometer visual in my page view when the data is blank. Right now I have defined some measures using pie chart to show blank and hide the different parts of my Tachometer but was wondering how it is possible to remove the whole Tachometer visual when data is blank or zero?

    I have 9 Tachometers in my Page view report. It is impossible now as per the support team replied so they suggested me to post it as a new idea. Hope you community like it and upvote

  18. Dynamically specify Data Colour using column - for all built in visuals

    The other thread requesting this feature indicates completed, but there are a number of other comments indicating that the fix isn't applied to all built in visuals. - please vote up this idea to get the other visuals fixed as well.

  19. Allow support for API Jobs (i.e. adding delay support)

    Add support to work with calling and retrieving from API jobs. For example, these: -

    https://auth0.com/docs/api/management/v2#!/Jobs/post_users_exports
    https://auth0.com/docs/api/management/v2#!/Jobs/get_jobs_by_id

    Working with these queries currently fails as the query seems to run at the same second - therefore the job hasn't been given enough time to finish.

  20. import column description

    Can you add a way to import table and column descriptions to models?

    If you provide some API, we can create custom tools to load it from different sources like - descriptions in SQL Server, other dbs, modeling tools, custom Excel table and so on.
