  1. Power BI Embedded Parallel Query Submission

Allow developers to specify how many concurrent queries should be submitted by a single Power BI Embedded report.

Backgrround: If a report relies on several independent direct queries, the Power BI Embedded server throttles their submission to the data source. This prevents the report from using the full power of the data source.

    • conditional formatting intervals

It would be very useful to be able to tailor conditional formatting by applying users own definitions for intervals.

      Example being:
      1-3,Red
      4-6,Yellow
      7-9,Green
      or
      1-25%, #5956C3
      26-50%, #C356C1
      51-75%, #5C9B9C
      76-100%, #73C374

      • Improve Querying performance to SQL Sever Analysis Services with large data

Especially Tabular Models with large volume suffer from the quality of MDX generated by PowerQuery component. For example, the same queries made in Excel Pivottable are most of the time faster with a better MDX generation. Also, why not querying tabular models with DAX ! previewing queries with a subset are very slow in case of use of high cardinality attributes

        • Change font family on titles and column headers

Regarding some corporate branding practices it would be very useful to be able to change font family of title and column headers in reports.

Is there any plan to achieve this in a next release?

          • Paid Power BI Desktop pro

We want a paid non throttled Power BI Desktop Pro edition
            With the following features
            1- Printing.
2- Official support for analyse in Excel: only in a local Computer.
3-Capability to generate a password protected pbix file, any PowerBI desktop user can open the file, but they can see only the reports not the data model, only a pro user with the correct password can unlock the file, so at least we can use pbix as a way to securely share reports.

That’s all, Microsoft can make it as a subscription product, I think there is a market for that,…

We need a way to easily move a report that is in Test to Production.

                • Adjust grid size

Add the ability to control the size of the grid in Power BI.

It's great to have snap-to-grid functionality and gridlines in Power BI Desktop. However, I haven't used this feature much because the standard grid size is not useful for my particular reports. I need the ability to change the size of the grid to make it more/less dense depending on my scenario.

                  • Dynamic tile content

We have some reports that needs to be commented by the analytics group weekly. However, this means that the text boxes with comments needs to be removed and re-pinned to the dashboard every week. It would be of great value if there was an option to create dynamic tiles that read the current/latest content from the report rather than the content at the time of pinning.

                    • Office 365 Audit Log Connector

Provide a Connector to the Office 365 Audit Log. While you can download the data into a CSV and then upload into Power BI, it would seem make sense that we should be able to take advantage of the Power BI functionality directly to analyze the Office 365 Audit Logs.

                      • Conditional color formatting for Radial Gauge

A ticket was raised for this issue back in August 2015 and was erroneously marked as Completed. Here is the link: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/9486990-ability-to-modify-the-colors-in-the-gauge

More specifically, I would like conditional color formatting on the Radial Gauge visual with respect to the Target Value. That is, if the Value is exceeding or meeting the Target Value, the gauge would be green, and if is not meeting the Target Value, the gauge would be red. If this was implemented to handle data dynamically, our stakeholders would be able to receive daily reporting on their departments with accurate color-coding.

                        I would appreciate a time estimate…

                        • Conditional Dimensions

Qlik supports conditional dimensions. For example, the user can click a dropdown on top of the first column in a table and select another field. This binds the first column of the table to the selected field. So, instead of having a bunch of tables to show sales by product category, product, customer type, etc., there is just one table that can be dynamically rebound. In Power BI, this can be supported by allowing expression-based fields in the areas when configuring the visualization.

                          • Add tooltips to table values.

I will often use ratios in my tables and I would like to be able to allow a user to point at a value/cell and see the tooltip of the numerator and denominator so they have a frame of reference rather than having to include the numerator and denominator in their own columns. Also, I'd like to be able to add tooltip descriptions to column headers so users are able to get a description of how a column is calculated and what it means.

                              Hi All,

Can we have a date format like MMM YYYY . I need to have month in the shorten format. If the month is in MMMM format is looks cluttered on mobile version of the dashboard.

I have a novel idea... How about printing directly from Power BI Desktop (including having the ability to save to PDF). Printing from the web app has improved but can still be finicky, especially when you change print settings.

                                  • Support refresh from the web when running code/script (Power Query, SQL, R...) from a text file

When you deploy multiple dashboards that use the same script/code (whether it data transformation in Power Query (M), a SQL statement or an R code), it is efficient to put one code in a text file, and query against the file, rather then copy/pasting the code every time you make a change.

Here is an example of a workaround: https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2014/02/04/loading-power-query-m-code-from-text-files/

The problem is that now you can't schedule a refresh from the web: Power BI throws an error
"You can't schedule refresh for this dataset because one or more sources currently don't support refresh."

Can you make such approach acceptable…

                                    • Power BI “enterprise” service

                                      Background
I have several dashboards with Pro content. These dashboards are however not accessible to my customers since they may not have Pro licenses or could not signed to Power BI service. This is a very big problem for me. I am willing to buy Pro licenses to my customers but it doesn’t work.
The only way for me seems to be Power BI embedded. I have in fact read much on that in web. The conclusion is simply – too difficult! Why I need embedded?

Idea – Power BI “enterprise” service
The “enterprise” service is, in the beginning, a…

                                      • "Pin" privilege without "Edit" rights

We're operating in an environment where the majority of Power BI reports are developed, deployed, managed and secured by technical resources often targeting audiences of 500 or more users. We see great value in users being able to pin report visuals to personal dashboards, but have recognized limitations in both the Workspace and Content Pack deployment models when it comes to "pinning".

                                        • Workspaces - In order for a member of a workspace to pin a visual from reports published into a workspace, they must be provided "Edit" privileges. While this allows for the ability to "pin", it also provides…

                                        • Drill navigation by mouse

I understand the need for having two different ways of navigating down a drill path, but the need to click an extra button for this takes away from the experience. A simple addition (I think) would be to navigate using solely the mouse

Single click: same as now, see other panes in the report change based on clicked value

Double click: zoom into the graph to a lower level of detail (previously click on drill button, then click on chart)

Right click: zoom out from the graph to a high level of detail
