  1. Power Platform Admin Portal

    Allow the Power BI admin role to access the Power Platform admin portal. This will allow the Power BI admin to see all data gateways used in an organization.

      • Subscribe others to emails for reports or dashboards that have RLS

        Power BI now allows users to subscribe others to emails for reports and dashboards. However, if RLS is applied to the dataset this is not possible. This idea will remove this restriction.

        • Allow workspace tagging

          As an IT administrator responsible for PBI Service management and governance. I would like the ability to create free form tags (Similar to azure portal tags). to track key metadata like a GL Code or responsible business department or other business specific information. These tags should be exposed via the API so they can be used to pull back in reports. tagging assets in the workspace (Reports, dashboards datasets) would be useful as well

          • Include Reports/Dashboards from Multiple Workspaces in One App

            Similar to ideas around creating multiple apps from one workspace, it would be very beneficial to have the ability to create a high-level app that includes reports from multiple workspaces. For example, our executive team would like to see specific reports from sales, accounting, and fields ops in one app instead of navigating to three different apps/workspaces to view the appropriate reports.

            • Dynamics Accessibility in a Workspace | Controlling Report Visibility

              Hi Everyone,

              Firstly, I should say that we might have a lot of workspaces to publish our reports to. Over time it might get confusing to track which content is where and which users have access to it.

              That's why I suggest controlling the visibility of reports for each member. What I mean is that for example we have a workspace for one business division and we have a lot of members in the said division. Instead of creating another workspace we can give users permission to view specific reports in the workspace.

              • Page level audit log

                Anyone who uses Power BI and audits its logs will only be able to audit until dashboard level. The idea is to increase the level of detail to page level so that you can know which pages are beeing visited the most/least and by which users. This new information will enable you to modify your dashborads accordingly, enhance them and much more.

                • how many scheduled refresh

                  To have a report showing how many scheduled refresh by capacities.
                  In that report, we shall have different granularity from 30 mins, 1 hour, 4 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours in time. In terms of the capcity level, we wish that we can see, dataset, workspace, capacity, 3 levels. Also the owner of the refresh is important.

                  The whole idea is because if we have too many schedules happening at the same time. The capacity may not be able to handle it. But we don't have such report, so we don't know how many is happening at a particular time.…

                  • Allow admins to send notifications via Notification Center

                    As a Power BI Administrator, I want to be able to push rich custom notifications to all users or to a subset of users and have those notifications appear in the Notification Center. For example, if we have internal training, new support procedures, critical announcements etc I would be able to send those notifications to users via the Notification Center in Power BI

                    • Export user list for reports and workspaces

                      When creating workspaces, we cannot even copy/paste the list of users or e-mails from another workspace. Allowing export of user lists would save us the trouble of typing the e-mails one by one. I am currently managing a list of 70 users and it is a pain, what about those who have hundreds of users to manage!

                      • Tracking the WorkSpace details

                        If we have a tracking record for each worksapce for the below points we can maintain the workspace in better manner. Since for one workspace have many admins, it is very difficult to identify who added and who removed a member or admin. including deleted the workspace.
                        1. Workspace created date
                        2. Owner for the Workspace
                        3. Members when got added and who added
                        4. Members when got removed and who removed
                        5. Modification member to ADmin or Admin to Memeber and who modified it.

                        better have have this features to maintain the workspace in a good manner.

                        • View User Report Access by User

                          It would be nice to see what dashboards/reports/datasets a user has access to by selecting just that user, instead of having to click Share on a dashboard/report and then flipping over to the Access tab. Would also be nice to select a User and then share multiple dashboards/reports to that user.

                          • Leverage row-level security (RLS) implemented at the db level

                            For any mature organization there is no alternative to (row-level) security being applied to the database-level, regardless of on-premise or cloud. As PowerBI provides no reasonable way to leverage a db-level implementation of RLS, one has to re-implement RLS into every single report or dataset, an approach that can only be suggested by someone who has never had to actually administer security in a self-service environment. Technically all this 'feature' would require is the user being forwarded to the source at connection time, as it can be done with Excel for years now. SSAS is fine for those who want…

                            • Hide datasets from published app

                              When an App is created/published, the reports AND datasets are visible to the end users. The users are able to analyze the datasets in Excel which is not necessarily desirable. This capability should be able to be controlled by the Admin.

                                Currently, email subscriptions for reports/dashboards using live connection datasets aren't supported when subscribing users other than yourself.

                                    require readonly workspace for the new workspace (preview mode). currently the lowest 'contributor' role can delete reports from workspace.

                                    • Workspace Adminstration

                                      Improve the administration of workspaces. As an administrator I want to be able to access and have visibility of all workspaces, dashboards, reports and datasets. I want to be able to restrict users being able to use their My Workspace. I want to be able to disable the creation of workspaces for Pro users. I want to be able to create groups to manage access to workspaces without needing global admin rights.

                                      • Disable or prevent Teams from autocreating App Workspace

                                        Please introduce a global setting to Prevent Teams from creating PowerBi App Workspace automatically when creating a new Team. As the new Workspaces are detached from Teams/Groups this should be a setting to prevent the App Workspaces beeing clotted with empty Workspaces from all our Teams.

                                          Need the following options to refresh the data:

                                          1. Have the ability to refresh specific tables from the Datasets.
                                          -- We have a report that contains intraday, daily and MTD data. We only need to refresh the daily and MTD data once a day but the intraday reporting needs to be refreshed every 30 minutes.

                                          2. Have the ability to set the time with increments of up to a minute.
                                          -- Currently, we only have a 30-minute increment to schedule a dataset refresh and this limits our ability to separate multiple dataset refresh at a given timeframe. For example, I…
