  1. PBIRS full screen button

Could a full screen button be added to PowerBI Report Server? Possibly to the far right of the status bar where the page tabs appear.

  2. Automatic refresh function

Automatic refresh function is not working without creating own report for each of the tabs, and even then, the refresh has to be made for every browser window separately.

That is not as smooth as the simply reloading the data by clicking the Refresh-button. In cloud Power BI version this problem can be solved putting URL parameter as reportSectionGUID for each tab. It is a shame that the same function is not available at on-prem version.

  3. Visual tiles, charts, etc, in Report Server folder views

Any chance of having visual tiles, charts, etc, in the standalone Report Server folder views (so something a bit richer than KPI widgets)?

  4. Export the exact display to Excel like SSRS

We thought that the release of January 2020 Power BI Report Server Export to excel would include the same export functionality as SSRS but it only seems to be able to export what you filter as the "extra" functionality.

We would like to export the exact same report display (template, text, images etc) with totals and subtotals, etc. "What you see is what you get". SSRS is doing a better job in this regards.

  5. Reuse of models in power BI Report Server

    Cordial greetings
One suggestion that I believe will help us in the company for which I work is the reuse of models in power BI Report Server, in the same way as the power BI service, since several users connect actaulmete to a single model created in Cognos, but With the migration of this technology we found that in Power BI Report Server we cannot reuse already created models
    Thank you for your attention
    Attentive to your comments.

  6. In Report Server, add an option to hide the "Upload" button from the portal

We want to limit how files are uploaded to the Report server and only allow publishing of files from the Power BI desktop Application. So we want to have the Upload button configurable/hidden.

I see this function requested many times here so I believe this would be a popular feature.

  7. Report Connection String change on server

I would like to change connection string from report server. There is no option to change connection string without editing PowerBI report on Report Server. SSRS report allow to change coonection string without editing report on server.

  8. On PBI Report Server, add ability to edit parameters.

In PBI Desktop for Report Server, you can edit your parameters. When report is deployed to the Power BI Report Server, you can edit the parameters on the server. I believe this capability already exists on the PBI Service.

  9. Publish a roadmap for Power BI Report Server!!

Is it too much to ask that Microsoft provide their user community with a roadmap of planned features for Power BI Report Server.

  10. Maintained in PBI desktop, share datamodel in multiple PBI reports on PBI Report Server ON PREMISE

The goal is to maintain only one data model in PBI desktop and share this model between multiple PBI reports on a PBI Report Server on premise. My understanding is that the answer is to build a PBI dataset. The point is that I cannot find anyway to do it on a on premise server. Alternative such using API or dataset from a paginate report is not something acceptable for me. If the maturity of the PBI Report Server on premise is good enough, we should find a way directly out of the box to do it.
    The questions are: …

  11. Increase the data export row limit (30,000 rows max) in Power BI Report Server

The capability to export raw data from Power BI is an important function for many users.

Presently, the export data limits are as follows and confirmed at the community link below.

    • Power BI Service (cloud platform): 150,000 row maximum

    • Power BI Report Server (on-premise platform): 30,000 row maximum

Please increase the export limit setting on Report Server to match that of Service. Better yet, increase them both to a much higher limit as requested by others in separate idea posts.

  12. refresh time

Allow for different refresh times other than 00 and 30. With multiple reports updating at the same minute cycle at our enterprise level, this causes timeouts and other performance issues.
Should be able to schedule at any minute point of an hour, at a minimum 05. That way we can space out a set of reports at 1:05, 2:10, 3:15, 4:00, 5:45, etc.

  13. Download refreshed report from Report Server

For a report stored on the Power BI Report Server that is refreshed automatically, when the PBIX file is downloaded the original is provided. Provide the report with the up-to-date data instead.

  14. Shape Map visualization for Power BI Report Server

Bring the shape map that has been in Power BI preview for years into the Power BI Report Server. Preview features are not available in Power BI Report Server so on-premise only users cannot use shape maps and are stuck with bing maps. This makes Power BI on premise extremely limiting.

  15. Matrix column header space limitation?

I have placed descriptions into Matrix column headers (all hdrs are centered, word wrap on, sergoe (Bold), font 13).

Longest header spans 3 physical wordwrapped rows. Headers in deskptop look perfect. Same headers in reporting services have 3rd row display chopped at the second-and-one-half row.

    Any ideas? Thanks

  17. cross report drillthrough

Can the cross-report drillthrough functionality be enabled for the on-premise Power BI Report Server version? This would greatly enhance the reporting options available to users of the Power BI Report Server.

  18. Bing map (layers)

With Report server we are limited to using Bing Maps only for Power BI. At a minimal at least allow one additional layer to Bing maps so territories and sales can be plotted, all basic BI mapping do this. Don't make force people use another 3rd party service for something that should be out of the box standard set of tools. I know this been discussed so much with the power BI team. This topic will never fully go away until you do the right thing.

  19. Need the ability for users to view the security applied to a folder/dashboard

We have a requirement from our users to be able to view the security that has been applied to folders and/or dashboards. Unfortunately the Browser role that the users have does not include this functionality.

We need the PBI Report Server Security Roles to have the task 'Set security for individual items' split out into View and Modify tasks for the Browser role.

  20. Power BI Report Server standalone License

Because of the data confidentiality I cannot publish my report on the cloud.
For publish it on the Local server it required Power BI Premium Licence which include (Server capability, Power BI Report Server), But I don't want all the features in power BI premium license I only want report server.
So, my request is Kindly provide Power BI Report Server standalone license (with additional cost) which can be used with pro license.
I had seen in your community portal number of requests for the same.
