  1. Add an option for date filtering

In many fields and companies, the data is not always most up to date. Today Data might be only available after 1 or 2 days when IT dep. run batch. Therefore, please kindly add an option (tick) to choose latest date of data just like the option "Include today" or Change "Include today" to "Latest date available".
    Thank you.

  4. Darstellung prozentuale Abweichung in allen Gerätekostenstellen

Es wäre von Vorteil, wenn die prozentuale Abweichung in allen Gerätekostenstellen (Tabellen) sichtbar ist.

  5. When we have large amount of data we load Quarter and Year and it's becoming very difficult for YoY or QoQ calc because of date format

I am trying to create revenue YoY or QoQ but the problem is with Date format, I am not pulling date into power Bi data and YoY calc is not taking Quarter, Year value which I have. Is there any way I can calculate YoY for last 5 quarters data

  6. Ability to Group without Totaling

I want to Hierarchy/Group names together but I already have a Total Name established in my data that differs slightly from the Total of all of the Names. I would like to be able to Create a hierarchy within a Column with the option to not total. Today it doubles my data as it totals all of them up which I already have identified.

  7. Option on which refresh changes to save and be able to show the trends - history graphs

At refresh data gets superseded. There is no way to show the trends and create history graphs.

With an option to choose which Refreshes to save datasets would be easy to create visuals on trends. (Option to choose would avoid saving saving datasets that are not useful)

I am currently manually typing in the numbers before I refresh into excel to create a weekly trends visual. There has to be a smart BI way to do this.

PS I have seen similar ideas on this website. I chose to create a new to emphasize on the option on which datasets…

  9. Enable Iterative Calculations

In Excel, you have the ability to navigate to File/Options/Formulas and "Enable Iterative Calculations". This allows you to run iterative calculations that are "Circular References".

    Power BI NEEDS THIS

Plotting data vs Day, Month, Year, is fine, but why is there no Week option?

  12. The interval parameter "Week" for date formulas should be included, e.g pay weekly

Some transactions are weekly, and create a weekly analysis has been impossible, because formulas as DATEADD only accept "year, quarter, month, day". However, there are formulas for week.

  13. Make a logical test, such as IF / SWITCH, that returns a table instead of a scalar value.

Make a logical test, such as IF / SWITCH, that returns a table instead of a scalar value.

Even if we lose Data Lineage, we can reapply with TREATAS. This will greatly reduce the Code's verbosity.

  14. No Proper conditional formatting

If I want to conditionally format a data for example I want to highlight values which are more than 3 for xyz column then while setting up this rule unnecessary I need to add a and condition with some percentage. I am not able to do straight forward set up a rule where if my column's value is greater than 3 then highlight

  16. Provision for dymanic column.

The developer should be able to update the column values as per the selected slicer value. DAX SelectedValue() should be applied to the columns in order the have changing column values based on selection of slicer.

    Ex: Month forecast.
Based on the selected slicer month value the future months should be Month_Forecast , else only Month.

  17. Displaying Measures and Axis Dynamically

The idea is to Use Measure Names and Measure Values to set up a quick filter that swaps out the specific measures that are used in the view.

For example, you may have a view showing Sales over time. You have another view showing Profit over time. Instead of maintaining these two on separate sheets, you can create a single view with a quick filter that lets you switch between showing Sales, Profit, and any other measure of interest.

The same brahaviour could be use to create dynamic axis nativelly. Today we need a lot of workround using dax oe…

  19. Publish to web: count page visits

Allow us to get a basic insights into how ofter our public information displayed via publish to web is used. A simple count of page visit would already be sufficient to show whether the service is used frequently by our users.

  20. Add a Product Line data drill down option (BU, LCAT, Location, PL, for example). This would allow Directors to look at their organizations.

Currently, we are able to look at resource data at the BU level. There is no way to filter data to show only a selected Product Line. This would be useful to Directors in assessing staffing and forecasting assignment needs using a reduced data set.
