  2. Formulación Básica

Hola!

  3. Add/remove/update measures, datasources, and columns after publishing .pbix file to PowerBI cloud

I would like to add/remove/update measures, datasources, and columns after publishing the model to PBI cloud. I cannot easily re-upload the PBIX file because there were other reports created off of the dataset than exist in the .pbix file. Also, what if users created their own reports/dashboards based on the dataset. If you remove to upload a new one with the new calcs/measures then you will remove their personalized reports/dashboards.

This makes it a major hassle to go back and edit the data model of an already uploaded dataset. Allow me to enter PBI designer somehow through the cloud, or…

  4. When appended queries automatically add a column to differentiate between the 2 query results

When you append 2 queries it would be nice to know which rows came from which query after the fact with an additional column identifying them by the query name at the time they were appended.

  6. Consistent Folder Query Method XML CSV TXT

There is no consistent and repeatable method to import folder containing XML or CSV files.

It is offered as from folder but as we now it doesn't work without wrangling with the creation of various functions in an attempt to get it to work I can list multiple tutorials and all have a different method most which don't work on different sources.

Can there be an improved and consistent import function that works.

    examples

    and all are different

  7. New Power Query function to let me know whether a date field falls within a specified range

I would like a new column function that behaves similarly to the Date.IsInPreviousWeek function, but allow the user to specify what range they would like to see.

For example, it could be Date.IsInDateRange(beginning number of days before today, ending number of days before today). Then if I entered a new column with the formula of Date.IsInDateRange(1,0) then I would expect the result to be TRUE for any date range that is either yesterday or today.

This would really enhance the pinned visuals on the dashboard that need to show just today's or yesterday's information.

  8. Depascalise headers

Just a small one - SSAS can automatically normalise pascal case headers. All my data source columns are in PascalCase. I have to rename each individually to insert a space. No big deal but a button to automate that would be a real treat!

  9. Re-size SQL Query Edit Window

It would be really helpful if the window for editing an exisiting SQL statement could be re-sized. This would make the query editing much easier.

  10. Power BI needs a way to show the SQL queries it's invoking

Power BI needs a way to show you the actual SQL it's executing. It doesn't do this today which makes optimizing the backing indexes and views that Power BI uses much more cumbersome since you don't have any good visibility into what it's actually doing.

  11. Rank/Index for Partition aka Nested Calculation

It would very useful to have more advanced option for the "Rank/Index" option when preparing the data. Chris Webb came with a possible solution but this should be something that PQ handles in an easier/wizard mode. This is the link of the solution:

  12. Split Query upon condition

Sometimes there are csv files containing different data sets, which are separated e.g. with a blank line.

I know it is possible to duplicate a query, but in Addition we Need an Option to cust first rows by condition. Currently it is only possible to cut rows by number of rows

  13. Null values in Text columns

Blank text rows are still counted in COUNTA and appear as values in charts. The ability to replace "" with a NULL value would allow better, quicker processing.

  14. Create Query from Dynamics CRM List

Would be great if you could create the M code for queries directly from list views in Dynamics CRM so you could post this directly in the Advanced editor.

  15. Re-size SQL Import Window

It would be nice if the SQL statement window could be re-sized and have the text wrap to make writing the query easier (like the SQL statement window in PowerPivot).

  17. Incorporate powerful data cleaning into Power BI desktop

It will be great to have a more powerful data cleaning/preparation functionality at PowerBI, if the tool can incorporate or synchronize with tools like OpenRefine or DataKleener or something similar, it will add a great power to the whole data insight cycle, from data preparation to visualization

  18. non tabular HTML content

Finding an issue when trying to connect to non tabular HTML content. In that what comes back is useless. I do not know enough HTML to modify HTML code, so having this embedded would be great!

  19. Visual Data Preparation/Blending Designer

A visual designer for data preparation/blending rather than the current single table/source view with steps on the right. Create data blending designer where users can drag/drop sources and actions sort of a more modern SSIS type of designer embedded in Power BI desktop. This will create a platform that guides users from source to visualization.
