Right now it is only in Arabic symbols
so for Egyptian pound it is (Arabic) ج.م.
it is better to be also EGP. and the Egyptian Pound Currency Symbol.3 votes

I discovered that the data compression algorithm that PBI uses has a bug. The algorithm searches for repeating data in a column and stores a single value. However, for string data it ignores case. So, if your data contains both strings 'my data' and 'My Data', it will arbitrarily store only one of those strings and discard the other. When your data is viewed in the report, the case of the data will be different than what is in the source. Some data sources (like SQL Server) ignore case, by default, when doing comparisons. This does not mean that two strings with different case should always be considered as the exact same data. PBI should consider strings that have the same characters, but have different case, as two different values and not arbitrarily remove one of them.

Can we please get some geospatial functions built into Power Query? e.g. the haversine formula.
It is frustrating having to write these from scratch given that many ETL tools have these built in as standard.
Allow queries to be marked as processing steps, so that they are not exposed outside of the Query editor window
It would be good to be able to mark some queries as processing steps, so they are not even seen outside of the query editor, in addition to the option to hide queries when in the relationship view
I don't need to define relationships on them or perform analysis with them as the query containing the end result is used for this purpose2 votes
What is the roadmap for Power ETL (Azure Data Factory, Power Query, SSIS)?4 votes
It would be cool if Power Query could easily scrape all visible text from website.
Currently, there is a Website function but it primarily looks for tables and it is hard to extract any text positioned outside tables.1 vote
Suggestion: Automatically assign same datatype to a new column which in generated by performing a mathematical operation on 2 or more columns in Power Query.
Currently, I add a step to change data type for a new column that I am generating after performing mathematical operation on 2 or more columns which have number data type. It would be helpful if Power Query automatically assigns number data type on this new column or if we get an option to choose data type of a new column that we want to add4 votes
If you have a longitude in the longitude box and latitude in latitude box, would it not make sense to use them as...coordinates e.g. for a point in which there would be data, say a metric on something? Why would Power BI start COUNTING THEM...oh wait, it does just that!1 vote
In Query Editor, provide the ability to step through the "Applied Steps" of a function. Once a query is turned into a function, it is much too hard to debug a function consisting of multiple steps, when all you can see is the end result of the function.5 votes
I have noticed that even when just wanting to edit a query, Power BI is collecting lists of tables from every database on the source. On our Impala cluster this is 1000's of tables and views. This is taking time and makes operations within Power BI seem slow.
Even just trying to create a relationship between two queries, it went and ran show tables on every database before running the describe and select statements that would actually be required.2 votes
add date value of M/yyyy1 vote
After selecting to autodetect relationships you should not just be told that X number of relationships were detected, the dialogue should show you the relationships detected and give you the option to use them or not, make them active or not, etc. IN other words you should be provided with a relationship editing window showing just the newly detected relationships.2 votes
Add standard control/scroll wheel scaling for database views. I have to zoom the database views up to see the details, but cannot seem to do this as I can with Excel.
I see a difference in the results from the Excel FREQUENCY() function vs. PowerBI's Group/Binning feature. Anyway to make it behave like FREQUENCY()?1 vote
I am requesting that calculated columns created in the data view automatically be added to the query editor.3 votes
The newly introduced Invoke Custom Functions does not support calculations.
When calling a Power Query implementation of the Excel PMT Function I need to pass a computation e.g. [Term] * 12 as a parameter.
fnPMT([Bank Loan], [#"Interest %"], 12, [Term] * 12 )
The new UI only supports Decimal Number OR Column Name ... what is required is a combination of the two.
It is now necessary to invoke the Advanced Editor in order to make the necessary adjustment.1 vote
I’m often handed scripts that unnecessarily repeat items like "Changed Type", "Reordered Columns", "Renamed Columns" etc...
It would be great if I could highlight these duplicated steps (Ctrl + left click) and then right click and Merge.3 votes
Allow formatting and display as a percentage. Condidtional formatting for chart colors would be nice as well1 vote
Currently Alt+Retun moves down to the next row. There should be an option to set CTRL+Retun as the execute key as syntax is often formatted by bringing text to the next line.
Using Retun as the execute key causes every change in your code to exectue. Correct functionality should be:CTRL+Return = Execute; Return = New Line;
There should be an options tab to customize this.2 votes
Would be realy cool if I can have the ability to automaticaly convert Text in a yyyymmdd form to Date Values.
At the Moment, I have to prepare a Text Column "zeitwert_aussprache" with values like 20160530 first with a custom column and a formula like
before I can convert it to da date Values like 30.05.20165 votes
