  1. Conditional formatting (cell highligh, font, etc) when comparing multiple fields

PowerBI needs to have the ability to offer conditional formatting of based on the comparison of 2 or more metrics. For example if metric A = metric B then change the font and highlight color of the cell to red.
If metric A > metric B and metric A < metric C then change the font and highlight color of the cell to green.
This should be unlimited for how many colors can be used. Other BI tools offer this feature.
Note that this is different than what PowerBI currently calls ‘conditional formatting’

As of our May release, you can now conditionally format a column by another field. Which means you can create a column that does your comparisons and then use that to format anything in your table or matrix. If you have other suggestions for conditional formatting options, make sure to vote on those as well!

  2. Export PDF in PowerBI Service also for custom visuals

There was a nice feature released end 2018 / beginning 2019 allowing direct PDF export from PowerBi Service. Unfortunately this does NOT work for custom visuals, as e.g. the hierarchy slicer. I would love to see this feature also working for custom visuals (see also my community post: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Export-to-pdf-Bug-Using-hierarchy-slicer/m-p/636281#M63591 )

  3. Change column labels/names in the visual

It would be great if we could change columns labels/names in the standard visuals (Table & Matrixes mainly). In our company we have a data warehouse build to support the PowerBI tabular model with the data. The field names in the data model are not the most intuitive to our PowerBI End User. It could be great if we could change the way the field labels are shown in our tables to be more intuitive and meaningful without needing to change the field names in the data model.

  4. Support for Python Visuals on web based Power BI

Python Visuals are currently supported only on PBI Desktop. It'd be great to add dashboard/graphs functionality and coding support for the Python Visuals on web based Power BI (app.powerbi.com).

  5. Custom Viz access to the previous levels in a drill-down

The current version of Power BI visualsation framework does not support access to the previous levels in a drill-down. I.e. you only get access to the current level when rendering. That makes it very hard to develop visualizations such as pivot tables or breakdown trees.

This would let custom viz developers add thing like pivot tables and Breakdown Trees :)

[This idea was created as an offshoot of https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/15844186-pivot-tables-and-breakdown-trees. Fredrik had initially asked for updates to the Custom Viz API, but many votes and comments were cast assuming the idea was just asking for the Power BI team to…

The current version of Power BI visualsation framework does not support access to the previous levels in a drill-down. I.e. you only get access to the current level when rendering. That makes it very hard to develop visualizations such as pivot tables or breakdown trees. Make this possible and I would gladly submit a stable version of my Breakdown Trees :).

  7. Map dot/bubble sizes should scale properly (with zero= a tiny dot)

The minimum dot/bubble size in maps is too big and as a result visualisations are misleading as dots representing very different values can appear the same size (as discussed in the forum under "desktop-Map point sizes almost all the same" where some examples are posted). The obvious answer is for zero values to be represented by single points (with maybe an option for zeros not to be plotted at all)? (I’ve posted this here so people can vote for this to get sorted)

  8. Slider / Slicer for Values

We now have a great Slicer for dates, which is presented as a Slider, but it would be great to have a similar Slider Slicer for values too.

eg, If I have a field called 'Customer Balance' and want to give the end user the ability to filter down between two values (Customer Balances between 1000 & 10000), then a standard Slicer is not suitable as it just lists the balances. A Slider based Slicer will fill this role.

This has been in preview for some time and is now generally available. You can add numeric fields to slicers and select a range of values. We don’t yet support measures (you would actually need to specify a measure and a category to slice on) but that’s something we’re considering – please create a new suggestion for that! One workaround is to create a summary table with the measure/category and slice on that.

    Thanks for the votes everyone!

  9. Better Date Range filters

The timeline slicer (Custom Visualization) functions, but it is not a friendly tool. If I quickly want to select a "Start" and "End" date for a date range, it would be more helpful to have a popup calendar with an optional freeform text box for both the "Start" and "End" date ranges.

  10. Independent Data Label Controls in Combo Charts

Have independent controls to include and format data labels when using Line and Column Chart visualizations. This visualization is essential to have data analyses with different value ranges, which means it is likely to have different labeling needs for data expressed in columns than the one used to expressed in lines.

  11. Change font size for X-Axis and Y-Axis

In most of the charts the X and Y Axis are hard to read because the font size is quite small specially when you have large scale of data

  12. R visuals in power bi service

Currently filtering on R visuals is supported in PowerBI desktop but not in PowerBI service. Allow full support for R visuals in PBI service as well including filtering.

  13. Customize values in matrices and tables

I'd like to be able to define the detail level (hundreds, thousands, millions, etc) and the number of decimal places, (0.##, 0.###, etc) for the values displayed in matrix and table views.

  14. Data Search Bar

Creating a simple search bar feature within a view would make things easier for those who don't understand the data sets. They could search for a number and see all line hits within all dataset within the view. This is a mass search whereas filters and slicers are just for a single column.

  15. data labels

On a line chart it would be very useful to be able to have the data label display for the last point on each line.

  16. Data Labels Inside Pie Charts

I'm currently using an array of pie charts, filtered down to 1 value, alongside a table of data. As you select each pie chart or "button" the table filters down to just what that button represents. Would it be possible to make the value labels that would normally appear with the data labels below/around the pie appear in the slice of the pie instead? This functionality would make my "buttons" have numbers on them to list the values the filter down to.

  18. Line Chart data is cut off in Dashboard Tile

The data on the pinned tiles is cropped on line charts. I can only visualize 9 months, and I wanted to see the whole year. Solutions include shrinking to show all data, or adding an horizontal scroll. Thanks

  19. % of Total Data Labels on Pie and Donut Charts

You need to be able to display % of Total data labels for pie charts and donut charts. This functionality is incredibly easy in both Excel and Power View. Not sure why it isn't possible in Power BI. I understand the same idea can be accomplished with a 100% stacked bar graph but that is not the way I want to visualize the data.
