Currently on Mobile, a visual must be selected, then another tap will interact with that visual. For many visuals, this is not intuitive and is a poor user experience.
In mobile view, we are creating mobile-friendly views of these visuals, and the extra taps to prevent mis-clicks are not always necessary.
Would love to have a toggle switch to enable single-click interaction over the entire tab or report in mobile view.70 votes
In the recent app release we introduce single tap experience: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/mobile/mobile-app-single-tap
Check it out!
Report Tooltips are awesome! It would be great if they were also available on mobile devices122 votes
Right now, by design, we cannot use the filter functionality when we are in landscape mode in the mobile app, in order we can use the report/page filters
Please add this functionality in a way we can use it as in vertical (portrait) mode
I tested for iOS or Android and it doesn't work in both... this is by design? Or maybe I'm doing a wrong configuration of the PBIX file?
Thanks for your comments,
Filters are now enabled in landscape reports, in addition to phone reports
Menu bar covers report page top and can’t hide it. There should be a button to hide menu on the menu instead of just based on scrolling. Please help- I can’t use the filters at the top of my report page.19 votes
When you initially open a Power BI Report on a mobile phone, you can see the full screen of the report, including any slicers that sit at the top of the report. Once you scroll up or down, you start seeing a floating menu. The top floating menu has a back arrow and the report name and this then makes the top slicers or content unusable. Either the report needs to automatically slide down as the floating menu appears or there needs to be a way to hide or move this floating menu.23 votes
Can't see the top few lines of the report because of the top banner that pops up. And you can't get rid of it, or enlarge the data3 votes
When you click on a button which is, for instance, assigned to a bookmark, the first click only activates button so that you have to click a second time to perform the initial action.
This issue only occurs on the mobile app, however, it's a very bad experience for end users.
Proposal: A button should perform its action right after the first click!5 votes
The Sept 2017 release of Power BI Desktop supports Drillthrough to other reports using the right mouse click. This functionality should be supported in the mobile apps, otherwise when selecting a Drillthough report in the mobile app there is no selected context.256 votes
We just shipped drill through in Power BI Mobile.
thanks you all for your votes!
In portret mode, I like to use 'bookmark-images' for intuïtive navigation. If you can freeze them on top or bottom, you have navigation as you would find in most apps. Now you mostly see the navigation options of the PowerBI app itself, which is rather irritating.11 votes
Can the iOS app please be updated to make use of the newer iPad Pro screen size (11”)? It’s hard to use the app with limited screen as is, this would be a marked improvement. Thank you.2 votes
In a scan barcode, after an unsuccessful scan, when you try to scan again, your screen is completely black. That is when no data is associated with the barcode. The flash light still works. This is on iPhone 8 power bi app.2 votes
It's great that we currently have Azure AD B2B available for Power BI. However it is not possible to give external guest users access to Power BI reports / dashboards in the mobile application.
This needs to happen before we are able to really use AAD B2B, unfortunately for now we are still stuck creating local AAD users for the external guest users.98 votes
We just released B2B support. You can find more information in this blog post – https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-mobile-apps-now-support-azure-ad-b2b-guest-users/
Most of the MS Office apps are fantastic and optimized for the new iPad Pro models, particularly the 11” model with the larger screen. Power BI is not yet, and would be great to make use of the new screen size and capabilities.3 votes
The title area slides down over the charts and there's no proven way to get rid of it. There's no proper way to bring up the menu at the bottom either, I have to resort to random clicking and sliding and every time is an experiment in how thay works.3 votes
Desktop Layout (Works fine): A Single click on a button in powerbi takes you to the desired page
Mobile Layout (Errors): A single click doesn't work on the mobile layout. You need to select & click it for it to open the linked bookmark. Double clicking redirects it to the option of expanding it in a focus mode.
For the ease of use for the user, it would be better to have a single click on the button.16 votes
The drillthrough for mobile should work on Table/Matrix visualization as well.
The May 2018 Updates include the drillthrough for mobile. However, it's not working for Table/Matrix Visualization. For example, user will like to drillthrough to the customer analytics report by right-click on the customer record in a table/matrix visualization (Just like how it work on the Power BI Service).6 votes
Ability to use URL-Report filter in mobile in the same way as in the PowerBI Service.
-In PowerBI Service you can pass filters to another report via an URL using ODATA filters. Allow this also in the app11 votes
Currently you cannot open a Power BI app shared with external users in Power BI Mobile. You can open it though if you sign in through the web browser, however the mobile dashboard user experience on the web browser isn't nearly as good as in the mobile app.
Is there any authorization reason preventing the app to be shown in the mobile app but allowing the same user account to see it in the browser?6 votes
I have a report that requires more than one page in the mobile view. The problem is both pages should reflect the same filters. I do not expect users to select the same filters again and again; the filters should be selected on the first page and apply to all subsequent pages.
This idea was previously posted under the heading "Make filters that can apply across all pages in a report". However, it will not longer accept votes as it is marked as completed. Is an option available to apply page level filters from the report/dashboard to subsequent pages?204 votes
We are very happy to announce that filters are now available in phone reports.
You can read about phone reports filters here – https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/filters-coming-for-phone-reports-on-ios/
Even though it doesn’t meet the specific ask for a report level slicer, page level reports offer the same functionality in an easy and friendly way.
We hope you like this addition to the Power BI mobile apps and encourage you to experience it and provide us with feedbacks.
It would be great if we have Portrait view in Power BI App for Ipad and Android tablet. It will be very helpful to navigate the necessary information.6 votes
