field of "duration" type
is it possible to add support for "duration" data type in the report view as in Power Query?

This is a bit of a showstopper right now.
Prefered solution from my perspective is to base this on seconds.
ie. you input a whole number or decimal second value and get Power BI gives you options how you want to present it.
Dream scenario would be to have checkboxes for what you want to have as part of the value:
years, months, days, hours, min, seconds, milliseconds.
or just a couple of preconfigured settings:
and so on.
True/Scientific Duration is needed
Example: Decay time 1000 seconds
Example: Cooling time 90 minutes
Example: Weekly opening hours 70:30

Time Series for a Graph
This is an astonishing absence...I'm aghast that this wasn't included within the original spec for PowerBI, and even more so to learn of it's continued absence.
and.... 2 years later.... cmon guys

Please update powerbi to have this feature
Please add a feature to do sum of hours
This is a common thing that most of other reporting tools are having. Please add the duration time as a type and allow to put Avg, Max, Min and the value as such to show in graphs.
Excel allows you to format time using values greater than 24 hours, why isn't this possible in Power BI? even if you use one of the work-arounds, when you export the data, its a text field and you can't sum the values in excel.
A must have. Quite a basic feature. Work arounds ae simply that - work arounds.
When Can it be implemented,as i need to show average call durations
Power BI and Google Analytics should be best friends forever.... and for that, we need a proper format for duration time, with the ability to properly calculate aggregates of duration time. Need. It. Badly.
At least it will be also great if we will be able to set custom axes information in accordance to duration. Bar chart can reflect the data in seconds (as a classic measure), but the data signature/label can be done in duration format (something like mm:ss)
Can someone give us feedback when it will be implemented?

Need duration for reporting on improvement projects with processing and lead times
Please add normal duration behaviour in bar chart. We want to see the Duration on the Y-Axis in HH : MM : SS format.
I need to build infographics on marathon events, and I can't do this properly with PowerBI. Meanwhile Tableau and Qlik provide such possibility.

Yes, GA tools winns the competition against BI just to this issue

Please, please do this!

Yeah, something like this would be pretty helpful for trying to switch reporting from pivot tables etc to POWER BI
I have the same issue , this is very critical for us, can you please provide a solution ?
