field of "duration" type
is it possible to add support for "duration" data type in the report view as in Power Query?
what's the status here? is there a workaround for this pls? I have duration in d.hh:mm:ss in my query editor but can't use this data in my reports? have to make a sum of this data in my reports...

support for mm:ss on chart Y axis is a must! please!
This type of field is really necessary for cases such as Call Center and Help Desks and Service Desks to deal with duration of calls and attentions, many times it is necessary to work with average and more calculations, for which you have to extend fields and use a lot of extra for this.
And even if you set the field as duration in the Query Editor window, it is useless when you try to use it in the Reports Window
Power Bi team, this kind of data type is a must have for telehealth call centres... my bosses would like to have an average of this in 00:00:00 format. And in addition to this, they would like to have conditional formatting as well to spot call handling time that is above the threshold. it would be really useful having this as a data type and can be conditonally formatted with colors.
The same is working in excel, but not in powerbi.Need this future
it will be useful to have this duration. please.
Yes! Time duration please!
We need support to Duration Data Type, please!!
Hello PerBI Team, amazing job what you've done so far. Can we please have "time duration" on X axis ..so that I can show Sales by every hour in a given day, for example. Thank you.

Looking from the "user of the report" point of view: you dont want to calculate / transform a digital time (example: 1. 5 to 1:30 (hh:mm) format) .
So a duration format in the report modus form the enduser point of view is in mi opinion a high priority (in the end; they are the persons we developers are working for)

Any idea as to when this will be sorted out? Seems crazy that this isnt included as yet. Plus it creates lack of depth when trying to pursue KPI generation as one has to do that in an alternate program. Very frustrating
A real duration file type? Thanks a lot
Please get this fixed guys. How is it an option to format as duration in the query editor but can't be used in tabular view??

This is a bit of a showstopper right now.
Prefered solution from my perspective is to base this on seconds.
ie. you input a whole number or decimal second value and get Power BI gives you options how you want to present it.
Dream scenario would be to have checkboxes for what you want to have as part of the value:
years, months, days, hours, min, seconds, milliseconds.
or just a couple of preconfigured settings:
and so on.
True/Scientific Duration is needed
Example: Decay time 1000 seconds
Example: Cooling time 90 minutes
Example: Weekly opening hours 70:30

This is an astonishing absence...I'm aghast that this wasn't included within the original spec for PowerBI, and even more so to learn of it's continued absence.
and.... 2 years later.... cmon guys
