View .pbix files on OneDrive/OneDrive 4 business
.pbix files are a great way of distributing (1) data, (2) transformations upon that data, and (3) charts on top of that transformed data. They're like a "mini-BI-solution-in-a-box", which I really like.
Currently if you want to share a .pbix with someone the best way is to upload it to powerbi.com which, I think, is absolutely the right way of doing it.
Then I started thinking about the fact that a .pbix is, inherently, a file, just like a .docx, or a .xlsx. Today I can upload a .docx/.xlsx to OneDrive/OneDrive4business and anyone with access to it can go and view that file in the web browser. I'm wondering if the analogy should hold true for .pbix files too? Should I be able to share a link to a .pbix file on OneDrive/OneDrive4Biz and the user be able to view the contents of that file without having to go to powerbi.com? I think they should.
I guess I can summarise this request as "Give us the ability to view the contents of a .pbix regardless of where it is stored." No reason why it shouldn't work if stored on dropbox/box/etc... either given Microsoft's recent moves to open up to those services (see "Office online integration" at http://dev.office.com/programs/officecloudstorage).
I agree, at least making it easy to edit pbix files from one drive (like with office files) would be a start.

Given Microsoft's efforts to constantly push PowerBI to the next level, this would certainly differentiate it from the competition and further boost its general acceptance.
Through integration with the most commonly used cloud storage solutions, this will add to recognition by the general public and contribute to PowerBI becoming a more widely used end-user BI-tool.

Folks, if you're voting please leave comments as well so the Power BI team have good reasons to implement this.
