Share with external users outside my organisation
It would be essential that the dashboard and reports can also be shared with external users. E.g. to be able to create a dashboard for a customer for example to show the SLA performance.
Echoing Rodrigo's comment below. I have partially sensitive information and we do not want users to be able to share the data outside the SharePoint Page I'm hosting it in.
Is there any way to turn off the share button?

I embed a dashboard url inside an intranet aplication. But I dont want that the users share this (button share).
How to disable it?!

I think this Idea is marked as completed without mentioning how to do it. One of the way to share with external users is by using Power BI Embedded.

It would be nice to make it possible to create some kind of Organisation content pack but for people outside the organisation. We are making reports for users outside the organisation and we want to share these reports so that they can compile their own dashboard with report tiles. At the moment, it's only possible to share a dashboard and not a report. The user receives a link to open the dashboard. He doesn't see this shared report in his own environment. A workaround for us is to create a power bi account for the client but this cost us 10 dollar a month and the client needs to sign in with a different account :/
So, yes please! Make it possible to create content pack for users outside the organisation so that they see the shared items in their Power BI interface.

Why am i not able to share with users outside the organization who can access SharePoint Online with live account. Sharing should be allowed for Live Accounts.
This is marked as completed, but I'm still not able to share outside of my organization. Is this completed as in implemented and ready to use? or completed as in decided against and never going to happen?
Do we need to have pro verison for sharing the dashboard outside the organisation?
As I'm still not able to share it outside the organisation (i.e. my customers)
Instead of warning, I still get the error message and hence it disables the 'Share' option.

We also need the ability to create and share reports/dashboards with external clients and be able to authenticate and provide row level security to these external clients outside of our AD and domain. Each external user may only subscribe to certain parts of the data - so we need to ensure they can only view the data that they pay for. Right now we have to look at non MS solutions - which means Power BI currently does work for us

Our organization have users within the domain, that's fine and it works accordingly. However, there is no alternative to share with users outside of our AD. Many organizations have users/clients outside of the domain (of course with proper PBI licenses).
All of the comments and ppl in the community thought that this was what you guys were working with, not a static URL that anyone have access to. Please, implement the ability to share with users outside of domain with proper security measures (role- and row security)
It would be great if either content pack or groups would work across organization boundaries. Currently the dashboard can only be accessed via the invitation with the invitation code and it is cumbersome for an external user collaborating via a partner collaboration site to access this dashboard easily from their site
We need the ability to create and distribute reports with other users and be able to authenticate and provide row level security to users outside of our AD and domain. The reason that I voted on this enhancement is because that is what I thought MS was working on. Not just creating a static URL that anyone in the world can access the same data.

Look at Information Builders 'In-Document Analytics' capabilities. It would be great if a content pack can work the same way for external users

This is great if you want to share dashboards on a one-on-one basis, but what about if you want to publish a report that you would like to be openly publicly available to any web user?
This does not allow any control over reports or dashboards.
It is either a publish to org (we could do that) or open to web.
There needs to be a security implementation for external users (i.e. B2C using open auth...at least using AzureAd), this would include publish of reports not just dashboards which don't include any filter report based on user (i.e. authorisation)
It still doesn't work utside the organization. The receiver gets message: "You do not have access to this dashboard"
...an amazing step for MS Power BI - GREAT
I have a Power BI Pro license. Just to clarify if I don't publish a dashbaord with any content packs or on-premise connections, I will still be able to share basic dashboards with free users both inside and outside of the organization, correct?
Awesome!! Thank you!
