How can we improve Power BI?

Slicer Hierarchy

Dragging a hierarchy into a report and change it to slicer... can we get a slicer with hierarchy (collapsible/expandable)?

Look, MS, this is absolutely essential. We will not consider PBI within the enterprise BI strategy without such basic feature as Hierarchy slicer. Please address this soonest possible.

Preciso muito desta funcionalidade. É inacreditável que o PBI ainda não tenha essa opção. 4 anos já se passaram e nada!!!!

OK MS, is this on the roadmap or NOT? 4 years is along time to wait. If you aren't going to tackle it, please let everyone know.

The existing custom visual for this is now being flagged as obsolescent in PBI DT, so its end is close unless it gets overhauled by the supplier.

It would be nice to get an update on the status of this. Hierarchy slicer is basic functionality that we have in other Microsoft tools like Excel, Access, SSRS, PerformancePoint, etc. We would like a reliable hierarchy slicer that performs well that is out-of-the-box. Have run into issues with the custom visual with regards to reliability and performance. Thanks.

Any idea if and when this new feature will be released? I am happy with the 3rd party hierarchy slicer but it does not sync between pages. If this can be developed, I would be very thankful.

Nearly 4 years, on. Any updates on where this is going? Ragged/Natural Hierarchy handling has a lot of limitations in PBI, but a lot of applications in Org and Financial reporting.

i dont see this feature in the planning of microsoft for coming couple of months.
would be a shame, really really need this!

Would love this! I have data that is grouped by continent, and would love to be able to slice each continent down to country. :)

Need this to take advantage of sticky filters - currently the users can't return to where they left off simply because we have to use a custom visual.
I am sure loads of people have hierarchy filters to select weeks within periods, etc.

Hierarchy slicer is definitely required and useful whereas the custom hierarchy slicer has many issues.

looking at an inventory folder hierarchy of 9 deep. There needs to be a better way to handle this.

Definitely need this functionality. There is a marketplace Hierarchy slicer that is not available to synch slicers

This idea has multiple great points. The most obvious is that we can reduce the number of slicers on a report. But it hopefully would also allow us to easily make data selections that are otherwise tricky (for instance, select a group of items that mixes values at different levels).

This will free up a ton of space on my dashboard. I can combine 5 slicers into one. Please!!!
